‘t Poolcafé

‘t Poolcafé is a mix between a billiards hall and a bar and it is located at Catharinastraat 4 in down town Breda. The café is quite easy to find, however there are no parking spots available to park your car. The best way to get there would be the use of public transportation; it is also within walking distance, about 10 minute walk, from the central train station of Breda. The front of the building is highlighted with neon light of the café’s name “‘t Poolcafe”.

The café has recently been renovated with a new fresh modern look. It is quite a large place they have about 10 billiards tables. There are lots of chairs with tables to sit around and a bar with all sorts of drinks available, from tea, coffee and sodas to alcoholic beverages. Other than that it is also possible to play darts and a few slot machines are present, while they have constant good music playing in the background, ranging from R&B to Hip-hop.

‘t Poolcafe is a great place to be at. You can play billiards, dart or simply hang around to have a drink and meet people, the atmosphere there is great. It costs about 8/9 Euros an hour to play billiards. They have all the necessary tools to play, which are in fair condition. The drinks are great and cheap and the service is awesome. It is usually crowded on Fridays and Saturdays but you never really have to wait long to get a table to play billiards. Plus, they are open till 2 am each night and they usually have good looking beautiful women working behind the bar.

Blog 1: my opinion on the tv show "Chuck"

Chuck is an action-comedy packed, mixed with a little drama, TV program from the United States of America, and it is created by Josh Schwartz and Chris Fedak. The show premiered on September 24, 2007 on NBC and is shot by College Hill Pictures, Wonderland Sound and Vision and Warner Bros. Television.

The show is about an “average computer whiz” named “Chuck” who works at the Buy More, a local electronics retailer store, as a computer expert. He has a best friend named “Morgan” who also works at the Buy More, and a sister named “Ellie” who is a doctor and looks out after Chuck’s best interest and wants to find him a girlfriend. One day Chuck receives an email with a secret message from an old college buddy who works for the CIA. The secret message in the email contains the remaining only copy of the world’s greatest spy secrets which get imprinted into Chuck’s memory. Now, being a valuable asset the CIA and NSA sends 2 agents, Major John Casey who goes undercover by working at the Buy More and Sarah Walker who runs a food shop across the Buy More, to protect Chuck and use his knowledge to help eliminate terrorists and assassins. While doing so, Chuck remains struggling trying to find a balance of his normal life at the Buy More and with espionage, guns and action while on a mission with Casey and Sarah.

This TV program has it all: hot chicks, humor, bullets flying and drama. It is like the movie “Employee of the month” mixed with “James Bond”. However, every now and then you might find the show to be a little repetitive, as in another female villain appears etc. But in short, every episode of “Chuck” is packed with comedy and action, filled with suspense and fun which make it a pleasure to watch them each week. What could you possibly ask for more?
